My Journey With Tarot

My Take on Tarot and Oracle Cards

At its core, the practice of tarot offers insight and information. The cards grant us deeper access to ourselves — not only to our own magic but to the magic of the Universe, in both the seen and unseen realms. They provide guidance, affirmation, and wisdom.

My practice is trauma-informed, non-dogmatic, LGBTQIA+-friendly, and accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstance. I specialize in tarot and oracle readings services offered both in-person or remote.

My style of reading relies greatly on authentic connection and enthusiastic co-creation. I believe that your intention matters — always! — but especially with the cards. When we sit together, we will dive into what’s most alive for you currently and then work together to build a lush, meaningful query so we can call in specific, useful feedback to help facilitate your best life.

How They Can Be Useful

It has been my own experience that tarot or oracle readings can prove particularly useful when you desire clarity surrounding a decision, information regarding a situation, helpful actions toward accomplishing a goal, or simply some spiritual/divine support and encouragement. And be reassured: the interaction with the cards is here to serve you, thus nothing will come to light that you do not wish for me to witness.

How a Reading With Me Works

During readings, I tend to draw on the visual aspects of each card, how the imagery ties to various archetypal themes, and what that might mean within the context of your query. I view myself as “a helpful pipe” between Source energy and yourself, and I aim to bring forth every message from a place of non-attachment and in service to your highest good and the highest good of the collective.

Some folks use tarot and oracle decks for divination (aka fortune-telling). My style differs from this approach. It has become clear to me over the years that we are all mistresses and masters of our own destinies. My use of the cards serves to gain insight into the here and now so that we can make informed, empowered choices. Plot twist: these choices have the power to impact what the future looks like. I choose to engage with the cards in this way, as, for me, the divination approach denies me my own awesome power to create the world and life that I deeply desire.

The Decks

I collaborate with multiple decks throughout my daily life — some oracle, some tarot. During our session, you will be fully empowered to choose whichever deck feels right or best to you for whatever reasons.

Curious about the difference between tarot and oracle cards? Tarot decks have a defined format. Like playing cards, the art and depiction of each deck can be different, but you will always have four suits in the minor arcana - generally Cups, Wands, Swords, and Pentacles - and 22 major arcana cards.

Oracle cards, on the other hand, have no specific format. An oracle deck can be built however its creator desires — it can have suits, themes, sections, or just be a random collection of cards. Both styles of cards offer insight and connection, and there is no “right deck” for your query — whatever you choose is exactly what was meant to be chosen.
